We are the Lucky Cats!
Wondering about the cute little cat you see all over our website? That’s the WLC mascot—we are the Westside Lucky Cats!
As part of our Elections unit in the fall of 2024, we learned about the U.S. Presidential election process by conducting an election of our own—for school mascot!

Since its election, the Lucky Cat has been embraced whole-heartedly at WLC! We’ve created t-shirts, stickers, posters, cheers, a little Lucky Cat shrine...
It even inspired our class names—we refer to our older students as the Lucky Cats and our younger kiddos as the Lucky Kittens!
